Mishima cups

Massa is practicing. These porcelain mishima inscribed cups are part of Massa's pottery discipline and are regularly in process. Sets may be ordered as a custom order.

Like the sisters, each cup is similar but different.  Signature pieces have cobalt slip Mishima inlaid into incised Nara porcelain in 12 steps.  2 similar Mishima panels on each cup. First two images: High fire cone 10. Remaining images: satin finish on Mid-fire Nara clay. 

Details:
Incisions made at greenware stage with extra fine pin tool. Cobalt slip inlaid into incisions. At leather hard, cobalt slip scraped back off with metal edged tool. Bisqued, dolomite matte glazed over, and fired either to Cone 10 in reduction, or oxidation to Cone 6.  

This order is for a set of 2 cups, 5"-5.5" medium-sized, 8-10 oz, high-fire, available now. Please note: the Satin-Matte mid-range cups are available to order and will take 1-2 weeks for custom order production.
